The Town of Wasaga Beach is seeking creative, energetic, and self-motivated team players to join our Recreation Division as Recreation Associates.

General Responsibilities: Provide front-line support to the Recreation Division through program facilitation, delivery, and exceptional customer service. Assist in creating a positive and engaging experience for participants in a variety of recreational programs.

Qualifications:

Diploma (or currently enrolled) in Recreation and Leisure Services, Sports Administration, Therapeutic Recreation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience working or volunteering in sport, recreation, or a municipal setting.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification (required).
Current Criminal Records Check – Vulnerable Sector Screening (required upon hire).
Valid Ontario G Class driver’s license in good standing and ability to provide a driver’s abstract upon request.
General knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Rate of Pay Range: $19.15 to $ 20.71 per hour
